This is a new concrete poem I wrote a few nights ago. Today I formatted it to look like a text message. The purpose of ‘Smiling words’ is to use the power of words and symbols to spread happiness and smiles locally and globally, combining poetry with digital technology. Look closely and you’ll see that the words have been carefully placed to form a smiley face in text language, using a : (colon), a – (dash) and a ) (closed bracket) symbol.

I hope you enjoy it and remember to smile every day! It’s good for you and me, all our friends and families.
