22. Now…

~ Written by Danielle N. Bilski ~

It has been an interesting month. Finding the time to write has been difficult, but yesterday I spent the entire afternoon working on the prologue for ‘My Time With You’.

Currently at 1,145 words it doesn’t seem long enough to me, but they are all words that I have chosen carefully, with sincerity and intent that make me feel so excited to continue writing with confidence.

A few months ago I posted that I had completed the first 1K words of the novel, but since then I have been doing a lot more research and reflection. I have decided to express the narrative from a different character’s point-of-view, however it is a character that has existed since the very beginning of this project. I just feel that the story can be better told by them and can therefore lead us on a more unique journey to an unknown destination.

I am also excited to announce that ‘My Time With You’ has recently expanded its online network:

You can now follow my journey through ‘My Time With You’ in real time on Twitter at https://twitter.com/MTWYcomau
You won’t have to wait for the next blog post to see what has been happening in the writing process.

I am also working on making this site more interactive for you, as your feedback and interest is an important part of the project and its existence. *Watch this space*

‘My Time With You’ is such a big part of me and I can’t wait to share it with you. To be honest with you, I was initially a bit anxious about actually beginning to write. As a perfectionist I wanted it to be as polished as I envisioned, from the moment the words touched the screen. Although I always knew that this was an unrealistic expectation of myself, it still made it challenging for me to hear our protagonist’s words clearly. However, now that I have sat down and really listened and given them the time that they deserve, their voice is resounding with all the curiousness I thought I needed to create; all on its own.

My plan is to proofread a few pages as I go, so it is not such a big job at the end and I can focus more on the content rather than being distracted by inappropriate spelling, punctuation and grammar. That’s just me and my perfectionism; I will allow myself these small maintenance duties as they are required. Hopefully they will fulfill my desire.

Thank you for your time with me, wherever you are.

21. Honoured to honour you

~ Written by Danielle N. Bilski ~

I just wanted to share with you some exciting news! As some of you may know, I love Michael Joseph Jackson (1958 – 2009), as do many other people I know.

For those of you who are interested, I am honoured to have three poems I wrote during my sheer sadness following Michael’s passing on June 26th 2009 (AEST) included in a beautiful tribute which is currently in the proofing and printing stage.

Thank you with much sincerity and love to the amazing woman who has compiled and managed this book with such compassion and grace. I’m certain Michael would be so proud to know he is loved so deeply in life and wherever he is now. Thank you for giving me and so many others who love him the opportunity to express it in such a truthful way. It means more to me than anyone could ever know!

Michael’s compassion, love and creative genius among other extraordinary qualities he possessed continue to inspire me every single day in my own constant life journey to fulfillment. I hope in this small way I can thank him for teaching me more than I can put into words.

Please stay tuned for updates and thank you for sharing this special moment with me.

Rest in peace & continue to dance & sing with love Michael.

* Offensive comments about Michael will not be approved, for while everyone is entitled to their opinion, this is not an appropriate place for negativity to be discussed. Thank you for your respect.

In appreciation,

20. Remembering to remember you

~ Written by Danielle N. Bilski ~

In this very moment,
with all honesty I can say,
I am blissfully happy.

I am so grateful for the gifts I have been given
Cherish every moment
that makes me smile.

Sometimes I frown,
but eventually it gets turned
upside down;

Or perhaps the right way up
the way it should be.
That’s just me 🙂

Thank you to you for being involved in one of those moments that makes me smile. I am so thankful for your support of my time with you. Update to come shortly. The beginning of Chapter One has been written. The original start has been changed due to the development of a more precise plot line and character perspective. Please watch this space.

Current word count: 442 words (plenty more to come!)

My eternal thanks to you for supporting me to this crucial point and I hope to continue to do you proud. Just knowing you are there makes this all the more worthwhile than me simply writing to fulfill my own desire to create.

I am looking forward to spending a lot more time with you! I hope you are too.

– always,
