2010. A year of new possibilities. As I stand with my fellow citizens on the edge of this; January 2010, about to embark on February 1st I find myself wondering where the last four weeks have gone while I turned my back for what felt like only four days.
In December last year I started a new full time job and I still have as much enthusiasm as I did on my very first day – it is wonderful! The only aspect that I only now have time to ponder is how quickly the days float by seemingly “in the blink of any eye” as the cliche goes. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have been given and would not change a thing. What I am needing to do however is discipline myself to make the most of the time I am given to be creative and do the things I most want to do. Life is not about compromising what you love and what you hold most dear to you for the mere necessities of living. The secret is to find the balance and to know yourself well enough to trust what your doing is right.
I have not for one moment lost sight of my vision in this project and I have not forgotten about my time with you as it has remained a vital element of my daily life, although the words have been waiting patiently for their moment to speak.
A little while ago I wrote a note to remind myself that reads:
“Minimise distractions, but recognise good distractions. Always make time for the important people and things in your life. Work and success should not compromise what you value most.”
While the ideas for My time with you continue to unravel, life continues to go on, days continue to float by and I continue to smile. Why? Because I know that when the time is right, I can always come back to my time with you. I hope you find comfort in that too.
Bring on February and every thing it has to offer.
See you soon. I look forward to it!
